about

Composed by Anthony Bannach. 21st Century, 20th Century, Romantic Period. Score, Set of Parts. 35 pages. Published by Anthony Bannach Music (S0.43805).

Item Number: S0.43805

The Waltz for wind quintet is a synthesis of the traditional waltz tonality, melody, and orchestrational practice with more contemporary tonal and compositional techniques. With the smaller format of a quintet, the roles of each instrument become more enhanced, as each instrument takes equal parts melodic and support roles. The waltz features a pseudo-rondo form, where the main section repeats intermittently throughout the piece. To hear this piece visit my site at www.anthonybannach.com/audiovideo.html.
